If you know how to change this setting on a different sound card please post so other users can see it. Thanks to BeAuMaN on the Risk or Rain forums for helping me figure this out, hopefully this information gets to the developers and they can figure out how to fix it or at least add it to the troubleshooting guide. So you want it to look something like this: I'm using the Asus Xonar DG, so for that you want to open your Xonar DG Audio Center and down in the lower right corner there are two green circular buttons above where it says "DSP mode" you want to make sure that the letters in "GX" are white, it's a little weird, but I figured out that when the letters are white it means GX mode is off and when they are grey it means GX mode is on, kind of unintuitive but you'll notice the button appears pressed and unpressed for on and off. If your sound card has a C-Media chip (Asus Xonar, Razer Barracuda, OEM, probably a few others that I'm not sure of) you want to disable GX mode, EAX mode, EX Xear 3D, or equivalent for your sound card.
